How to use the new “Inspector” added in version 2.0

The Inspector of the Make me Feed Good add-on helps you choose the titles of the articles of a website with a click, so you don’t need to read its HTML code or write the CSS selectors yourself.

Open the Inspector
From the feed you are editing.

  1. Go to Make Me Feed and edit a feed, or create one with Add New.
  2. In Source index URL, paste the address of the page that lists the articles, for example https://example.com/news/.
  3. Click Inspector. It opens that page in a new window.
Choose the Titles
Hover and click.

Move the mouse over the title of an article. The title must be a link to the article. The Inspector highlights all the titles of the page that use the same element and shows it in the Class Items field, for example h2.entry-title>a: a link inside an h2 with the class entry-title. You don’t need to choose each title: one is enough, because all the titles of the page have the same structure.
