Houston, we have a release. After months of building, testing and a week of beta flights, WPeMatico 2.9 has touched down on WordPress.org. It’s the biggest leap the plugin has taken in years: a brand-new interface from the first screen to the last, and the launch pad for WPeMatico 3.0.
One week ago we fueled the rockets: every add-on was updated and the 2.9 beta went public. Today the main ship lands. WPeMatico 2.9 is now available for every site, as a regular update, straight from your WordPress dashboard. One small step for your site, one giant leap for autoblogging.
π°οΈ Mission log
- Mission briefing. Nearly 13,000 pieces of feedback from WPeMatico users β reviews, support tickets, forum threads and feature requests β charted the course for every improvement in this release.
- T-minus 7 days β October 1. All fifteen WPeMatico extensions updated and ready for 2.9, and the beta opened to everyone brave enough to fly first.
- The test flights. Beta sites put 2.9 through real campaigns, real feeds and real servers, and every report made it into the final build.
- Touchdown β October 8. WPeMatico 2.9 lands on WordPress.org. Your sites receive it as a normal update.
- Next destination: WPeMatico 3.0. Everything in 2.9 was built as its foundation.
π Why WPeMatico 2.9 is a giant leap
WPeMatico, the free WordPress autoblogging plugin, has been turning RSS feeds into WordPress posts on autopilot for more than fifteen years, today on 10,000+ active sites. Version 2.9 is what you asked for: we read nearly 13,000 messages from you, and they shaped a renewed interface from end to end. Here are the highlights. π
π§ Mission Control: a Dashboard for every feature
WPeMatico now has its own menu, and it opens on Mission Control: one card per feature, grouped by what it does, each one telling you what its switch will do before you touch it. It also installs the free plugins a feature needs and starts the add-ons you already own. No more hunting for that one option.

π¬ Vimeo campaigns: now free, built into the core
What used to be a paid add-on is now part of WPeMatico, for everyone. Paste the address of a Vimeo user, channel or group and each post arrives with the title, the thumbnail, the player and the description. Need more than the last 10 videos of the feed? WPeMatico Professional fetches through the Vimeo API, as many as you ask for.

πΈ Migration Toolkit: welcome aboard
Coming from Feedzy RSS Feeds or WP RSS Aggregator? The new Migration Toolkit imports their feeds as WPeMatico campaigns, with their filters and settings, and adopts the posts they already published, so nothing is published twice.

π‘ More instruments on the panel
- WPeMatico Summary widget: posts today, active campaigns, next run and a seven-day chart, right on your WordPress dashboard.
- Feed List and Feed Viewer: every feed of every campaign in one searchable table, and a telescope that tells you exactly what a feed answers when a campaign goes quiet.
- Settings that explain themselves, with clear sections, a tab per extension and guided tours the first time you open each screen.
- Eleven languages for the plugin and all fifteen extensions, plus a faster Bulk Edit, a Campaign Preview for every campaign type, a new Add-Ons page and a System Status that opens instantly.

β Landing checklist: how to update to WPeMatico 2.9
2.9 is a major version. Back up your site, update your add-ons first (with an active licence, from Dashboard βΊ Updates), then update WPeMatico like any other plugin. Your campaigns, feeds and settings carry over as they are.
π Next stop: WPeMatico 3.0
2.9 is the base camp for 3.0, and we can’t wait to show you where this mission goes next. Want to go further today? Professional, Full Content and the Perfect membership are all ready for 2.9.
Questions? Browse the FAQs or open a support ticket β we read every message, as those 13,000 prove. And if 2.9 makes your autoblog fly, a 5-star review on WordPress.org is the best fuel for the next mission. β
To infinity and beyond,
