How to use Canonical URL to Source site

This tutorial describes and explains how to use the “Use Canonical URL to Source site on post” feature in WPeMatico for FREE.

WPeMatico was developed to use as WordPress plugin for content automation.

This powerful feature allows you to set the canonical URL of each imported post to point back to the original source article. This helps search engines understand where the original content lives, avoiding duplicate content issues and improving your SEO ranking.

You can configure this feature in different ways:

Enable it from Global Settings
Enable canonical URLs for all campaigns.

Go to WPeMatico → Settings → Enable Features metabox.

Here you can activate the “Use Canonical URL to Source site on post(type)” option to apply this feature globally to all campaigns.

Note: This feature may not work on all server configurations.

From Individual Campaign Settings
Customize canonical URL behavior per campaign.

If you prefer to use your post’s own URL as the canonical URL instead of the source link, simply disable this option in the campaign settings. This gives you flexibility to choose which campaigns should use the source URL and which should use your site’s URL as canonical.
