No. The Professional add-on does not fetch the complete article from the source site. The add-on that does that is Full Content. The confusion usually comes from the Essentials membership, which bundles both add-ons.

It publishes exactly what the feed provides.

The free version of WPeMatico works with the contents of the feed items. If the feed includes the full article, your posts will have the full article; if the feed only includes a summary or the first paragraph, that is what will be published. WPeMatico itself does not visit the source page.

Two add-ons for two different needs.

• Professional adds advanced options to the campaigns (filters, custom titles and fields, image options, multipage feeds and more), but it always works with the content that the feed already provides.
• Full Content visits the source permalink of each feed item, extracts the complete article from the page, with its images, and publishes it as the post content.

If you need both, the Essentials membership includes Professional and Full Content at a discount.

It works automatically with most websites; a few need a configuration file.

Full Content detects the article automatically on most websites. It cannot extract the content of pages that load the article with JavaScript (AJAX), because the plugin reads the HTML returned by the server, not what a browser renders afterwards.

If the extracted content is wrong or incomplete for a given site, you can create a configuration file for that domain to tell the plugin where the article is and which tags to keep or strip. Configuration files are based on XPath and the add-on includes tutorials and examples, but in most cases they are not necessary. See also How to pull more content from a source?

Try Full Content on your own site before choosing an annual membership.

The best way to be sure that Full Content works with your sources is to test it yourself.
